Word has just been received from England that M. E. Olmsted '21, who rowed for three years on the University crew, was in the winning eight in the Oxford trial race held this year at Moulsford on Saturday, December 3.
The English critic covering the race reported that it was in great measure due to Olmsted at 6 that Crew B had a strong firm finish which gave it a quarter of a length victory over Crew A.
Olmsted is the second University man in two years to row on an Oxford Trial Eight. Last year F. B. Lothrop '20 rowed 6 on one of the two competing Oxford crews.
