Although essentially the same in the principle contests as the previous program, the Freshman basketball schedule has been cut down to twelve games, as against the eighteen which were originally planned.

The schedule, which is still tentative and subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee, has as the opening date a contest with Tufts Freshmen on January 13. This will be followed by a clash with the Boston Y. M. C. A. on the eighteenth, other probable games being those with New Hampshire State, Springfield, Tabor Academy, Dean Academy, Andover, M. I. T. 1925, Exeter, and Dartmouth. The Freshmen will go to Andover for a game on March 4, and will close the season with a contest with Yale 1925 at New Haven on the eleventh.

In spite of their grilling contest with the University teams on-Thursday, Coach Tolbert sent his yearling squad through a stiff practice scrimmage this afternoon. Emphas's was laid on team-work, following up missed foul shots, and a speedier attack. The coaches worked especially at correcting the faults shown in the University contest. A few changes were made in the line-up, and during the last fifteen minutes Coach Tolbert made frequent substitutions in the two teams, so as to get the most effective combination to use against Tufts next Friday.

The line-up of the teams during the latter part of the scrimmage follows: TEAM A.  TEAM B. J. Merriam, r.f.  l.g.,J. F. King J. L. Scully, l.f.  r.g., S. L. Stevens J. F. King, c.  c., C. D. P. Loker W. A. Morrison, r.g. l.f.,  E. G. Gebelein G. M. Quivey, l.g. r.f.,  J. L. Caughey Jr.
