FAST TEN-INNING GAME NETS 6-5 WIN FOR CRIMSON

Win by Score of 9 to 3 Knocking One Pitcher Out of Box

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Knocking one pitcher out of the box in five innings, fielding cleanly and accurately, the University Second baseball team overwhelmed the Providence College nine yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field by the score of 9-3. From the start the Scrubs did not find the game very difficult, and before it was over many of the substitutes were given a chance to play.

Of the Seconds ten hits, one was a three-bagger by Mason, while Dickson and Lucas also gained extra bases. J. M. A. Blair started on the mound, and did some good box work for five innings after which Theodore Strong Jr. '22, C. B. Crockett '22 and James Anastas '23 were given a turn at pitching.
