The Crimson Ramblers, a team composed of University hockey team players whose season ended with the Yale game a week ago, were defeated 3-2 by the La Tuque team of Quebec Saturday evening. Playing six-man hockey for the first time, the Ramblers appeared inexperienced in this style at stages in the game, but it was the superior stick-handling of the Canadians which was the deciding factor.
The visitors gathered one point in the opening period, which gave them the lead until near the end of the game. Snelling, following through on a long shot, sent the puck into the net for the Ramblers' first score, but McNaughton, the most expert player on the ice, put his team ahead once more. A minute later, Bigelow intercepted a pass and eluded the La Tuque defense for a tying score McNaughton again asserted his superiority and broke the tie in the last minute of the game. Score, La Tuque 3, Ramblers 2. Goals, George McNaughton 2, Braithwait, Snelling, Bigelow.
