Irving Babbitt to Speak to Liberals

Irving Babbitt '89, professor of French Literature at the University and a literary critic of authority, will speak to the Liberal Club on "Sham and True Liberals" at the Cranford Club tonight at 6 o'clock.

Mr. Babbitt is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa chapter of the University and is widely known for his position as a scholar not merely of the Romance Languages but of all contemporary literature. He is the author among other books of "The New Laocoon", and "The Masters of French Criticism" and the editor of Taines "Introduction to the History of English Literature."
