DR. MARTIN TO LECTURE AT FOGG

Authority on Art History to Give Series of Lectures

A series of three lectures is to be given at the Fogg Art Museum on March 21, 22, and 23, at half-past four, by Dr. W. Martin, the Director of the Royal Picture Gallery at the Hague, and Professor of Art History at Leyden University. The lectures will take up various phases of Dutch Painting--the subjects of the individual conferences being as follows:

March 21, How to look at old Dutch Portraits.

March 22, Dutch Pictures, Genuine and Spurious.

March 23, The Dutch Painter, Jan Steen.

Dr. Martin is a pupil of Dr. Bredius and of Dr. Hofstede de Groot; he is the author of monographs on old Dutch masters and collaborator of several scientific periodicals and books of reference.

The lectures will be illustrated by lantern slides and will be open to the public.
