Tonight at 8.30 o'clock in Stoughton 23 the candidates for the University and Freshman rifle teams will meet. Practice at the new rifle range in the basement of Persis Smith Hall will start immediately and will continue for the rest of the season.
At the meeting tonight, H. H. Fuller '23, captain of the team, G. C. Rose '22, manager, and W. B. Darling '22, president of the Rifle Club, will talk to the candidates for both University and Freshman teams. Captain Fuller will outline plans for the season in detail.
The range, which the team management has constructed with the assistance of Major R. C. F. Goetz, Range Officer of the Rifle Club, has been completed except for a few minor details of construction, and is now ready for use. Its length is the regulation 50 feet, and it contains four butts with targets operated by motor power. Because of the excellent facilities for practice offered this year for the first time, the management expects a record squad to report at the meeting tonight.
