This evening at 7 o'clock candidates from the Freshman and Sophomore Classes for the News and Photographic competitions of the Crimson will report at the Crimson Building. Both competitions will not last more than twelve weeks. This is the first news competition held without the usual night duty for candidates in the print shop. By eliminating this, the competition has not been made easier, but candidates are given more time to cover the news of the University, and get interviews with prominent men in Boston and New York. The photographic competition will consist principally of picture taking, and election to the board will be made primarily on the basis of photographs published in the bi-weekly supplement. All candidates elected to the news board are eligible for the position of managing editor, and president, or editorial chairman.
