FENCERS OPPOSE M. I. T. TODAY

Open Season With Match in Hemenway Gymnasium at 3 o'clock

The University fencing team opens its season today in a meet with M. I. T., to be held at 3 o'clock in Hemenway Gymnasium. The fencers for the University are Captain S. H. Ordway '21, W. R. Brewster '22, and Burke Boyce '22. Captain Ordway is the mainstay of the team since he has had more experience than the other two. He has fenced in two intercollegiates tournaments but was defeated last year by Skabo, who is on the opposing M. I. T. team today. Brewster, who is a left-hander, took part in the Penn and Navy meets last year, but fell ill while returning from Annapolis and was unable to fence during the rest of the season. This is the first year that Boyce has been on the University team but he has developed rapidly and is a reliable foilsman.

If time permits Captain Ordway will meet Nesmith of M. I. T. with duelling swords.
