GLEE CLUB OPENS TRIALS AT 7

Candidates From Entire University Report at Music Building

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Tonight at 7 o'clock Glee Club trials will open in the Music Building. Plans are being made to handle between 500 and 1000 candidates this fall. These trials are open to all men connected with the University. Freshmen are particularly advised to come out at first trials, for the experience will aid materially in the competition for the long trips. Men in the graduate schools will be allowed special privileges in regard to rehearsals so that their work will not be interfered with by the activities of the club. From these first trials, approximately 300 men will be retained until the first quartet trials which occur the last week in October. Then the chorus will be cut down to the neighborhood of 200, that figure depending upon the quantity of good material at hand.
