NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yale's star tennis captain, C. S. Garland, has been picked as the fourth member of the United States tennis team which will compete in England in the Davis Cup matches. William M. Johnston, William T. Tilden 2d and R. Norris Williams 2d were chosen as the first three members of the quartet and the fourth place was left open.

Of the available men who could make the trip abroad, Wallace F. Johnston, Richard Harte and Garland were being considered for the fourth man. Subsequently Harte defeated Johnson, and in special matches Garland defeated both of them. The decision in favor of Garland, which was unanimous, was reached at a meeting of the committee, including Julian S. Myrick, George T. Adee, Robert D. Wrenn, Harold H. Hackett, George W. Wightman, Beals C. Wright and Samuel Hardy.
