The Senior class nine will have the first chance to test its ability against an outside team when it meets the Yale Juniors, the victors of their class series, at New Haven this afternoon. Although their series has been considerably curtailed, due to poor playing weather, the Seniors have developed considerable teamwork and have been bunching their hits well together. S. H. Johnson in the pitcher's box is the mainstay of the team, and is well supported in the infield by Captain A. T. Hill at shortstop and S. H. Ladd at first. In the outfield E. A. McCouch in left is easily the best player.
The series at Yale has been considerably longer than here and consequently their Juniors have developed into much more of a finished team. Sloane, who will be in the box today, has proved an effective pitcher in the games he has played this year.
Following is the line-up for the University: Falvay, c.f.; Ward, 2b.; McCouch, l.f.; Ladd, 1b.; Johnson, p.; Hill, s.s.; O'Calligan, r.f.; Stubbs, c.; Munroc, 3b.; substitutes Lloyd and Ven Burgen. The battery for Yale will be Sloane and Goodell.
