Freshmen Tie

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A nothing to nothing six-inning tie was the result of a practice game for the Freshman nine played yesterday at Soldiers Field against Somerville High. J. C. Watson, pitching for 1923, held the opposition to two hits, but his team was able to gather only four off the delivery of Nickerson. Two of these came from the bat of Captain D. F. Thayer, who was the all-around star of the contest. Each team twice advanced men to third, where they were left, and the Freshmen in every inning except one got men on the bases but was unable to hit in the pinches. The fielding of 1923 was, however. much superior to that shown in the game Wednesday with the Dartmouth Freshmen, only one error being committed.
