Over 50 former athletes of the University met and dined at the sixth annual dinner of the Harvard Varsity Club, held in the Club House on Friday evening. President George B. Morison '83 prosided, and Carroll J. Swan '01 was the toastmaster.
The principal speaker of the evening was Mr. C. D. J. Golde, president of the Cambridge University Boat Club, who described the system of rowing at Cambridge.
The present and past athletic situations were discussed by several former "H" men, including P. D. Haughton '99, Louis A. Frothingham '93, William F. Garcelon '95 and Robert F. Herrick '90.
Captain W. J. Murray '19 of the 1919 football team, R. W. Emmons 3d '20, captain of the hockey team, spoke on the subject of undergraduate sport.
