The combination of R. G. Ladd '20 and E. A. McCouch '20 produced a 9-8 victory for the Seniors over the Freshman class nine yesterday at Soldiers Field in the closest game staged so far in the interclass baseball league. This was the fourth straight win for 1920 and practically assures their going to New Haven Saturday, May 29, to play the winning Yale class team. Several times during the game McCouch saved the Seniors from defeat by clever catches off the Stadium wall. In the eighth inning with two men out and second and third occupied. Ladd doubled, driving in the tying and winning runs for 1920. Manager A. T. Hill pitched the last two innings for the Seniors and did not allow a runner to reach first.
Owing to lack of players the Junior team forfeited yesterday to 1922.
