A strong gale kept the University baseball squad in the Cage on Soldiers Field yesterday, where, after a short talk by Coach Slattery, an hour of batting practice was held. C. S. Stillman 21, a catcher on last spring's squad was behind the bat for the first time this year, having hitherto been unable to play. He is now a regular member of the first squad.

This afternoon at 1015 the second team will go to Middlesex where a practice game, the first of the season, will be held with that school. Nineteen players will be taken on the trip.
