Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Preliminary bouts for the annual boxing carnival to be held at Brattle Hall, March 25, will begin this afternoon at the Hemenway Gymnasium. All contestants will weigh in today between 11 and 2 o'clock, and will report in the Boxing Room at the Gymnasium at 3.30. The bouts will open at 4 o'clock.
Entries for the wrestling tournament will close tonight at 5 o'clock. Drawings for the boxing bouts were made as follows:
Heavyweight Class.--R. M. Sedgwick vs. H. J. Townsend. With only two entries in this class, the single and final match will beheld the night of the carnival.
175-pound Class.--W. K. Clark vs. G. L. Wrenn; P. D. Steele vs. E. D. Weatherhead; C. W. Heath vs. B. Lockwood; E. Doniger vs. H. B. Davis; J. T. Kelly vs. C. P. Anderson.
160-pound Class--D. E. Knapp vs. J. Blair; E. D. Weatherhead vs. M. E. Wyner; G. Helm vs. H. L. Hartley; T. Coolidge vs. winner of latter bout; E. Rosenberg vs. C. P. Anderson; G. L. Wrenn vs. H. B. Davis. The last two matches drew "byes" and were placed in the second round.
145-pound Class.--J. G. Russell vs. A. Gagliolo; J.F. Stearns vs. K. B. Day; R. Daggett vs. T. Strong; J. Epstein vs. J. R. McLeod; C. H. Wansker vs. E. Hughes.
135-pound Class.--R. M. Bradley vs. J. F. Stearns; G. Connoly vs. D. E. Brown H. J. Freedman vs. J. O. Stubbs.
125-pound Class.--H. J. Freedman vs. D. Burstein; M. Weisbuck vs. B. R. Bentley; R. W. Powers vs. R. S. Flinn; D. Treanor vs. winner of latter bout in second round.
115-pound Class.--R. W. Powers vs. winner of J. A. Devicq vs. F. J. Foxe.
All but the finals will be run off this week. The preliminary bouts for wresting will be held the latter part of this week and the first part of next week.
