With its concert last night the University Band has extended its activities. No longer will its appearance be limited to athletic events. By this new policy the Band is filling a gap which was left when the Glee Club started to give more "highbrow" concerts last fall.

The University is large enough to support all varieties of music, gray and gay, popular and classical. The demand for such entertainment as that offered by the Glee Club on the one hand, and the Band on the other, is evidence of what is an essentially Cosmopolitan musical viewpoint on the part of the University.
