With the reporting of all candidates including Freshmen, in the H. A. A. this afternoon at 1.05 o'clock, the University Rifle Team begins another season. Complete organization will be effected this afternoon and the details of the season's work will be outlined to both the marksmen and the manager candidates. Practice will begin next week, while the regular meets are scheduled to begin soon after the Christmas recess.
But one man was lost to the team by graduation last spring. O. J. Young '21 who was the highest point winner last year, and E. G. Lund '23, captain of the yearling team last season, are expected to be among the strongest shots in the coming meets.
Four meets have already been dated and the season will end in a meet with Yale. Application has been made for membership in the National Rifle Association. Such membership will entitle the University team to a place in their tournament in February or March.
Manager candidates, both from the Sophomore and Freshmen classes, are needed and all interested are urged to report this afternoon, or, if that is impossible, some time before Monday.
