D. F. O'Connell '21, captain of the University track team, is the sole Crimson representative on the All-American College Track Team which was recently announced by F. W. Rubien, Secretary of the American Athletic Union. O'Connell, who won the Intercollegiate mile run last spring, is named for that event on the mythical team.
Yale fares the same as Harvard, being represented in one event, the running high jump, by R. W. Landon. On the All-American Athletic team, which is distinct from the All-American College team, in that it includes men with athletic club affiliations as well as college athletes, S. H. Thompson of Princeton was selected as all-round man. Cornell leads in the number of men on the two teams, having three representatives on the college squad and two on the main All-American. That the East is superior in stars of the einder path is proved by the selection for the college team of 10 Easterners, five from the MiddleWest, one from the South and one from the Pacific Coast.
