Compromise between the Lodge and Democratic reservations of the Peace Treaty obtained a slight plurality over ratification without reservation or amendment in the final returns of the Intercollegiate Treaty Referendum. Senator Borah drew but a very slight following, and those favoring the Lodge reservations were a poor third in the voting.
