Dodecanesian Claims Recognized

A proclamation of union has just been made of the Dodecanesian Islands with Greece, the inhabitants of which recently cabled the members of this University to support their claims for such a union. The cablegram appealed to students at all American and allied universities to aid the Dodecanesians in their efforts to be joined to Greece.

The proclamation was made amid scenes of indescribable enthusiasm. This action by the Dodecanesians was provoked by the exceedingly severe measures taken by the Italian authorities, which resulted in sanguinary conflicts in several islands, notably Rhodes, between the Italian carabinieri and the islanders.
