A committee has been appointed by the Phillips Brooks House Association to make arrangements for the University delegation at Northfield, and to stimulate interest in the conference throughout the College. The first meeting of the committee will be held in the Randolph Hall Breakfast Room at 7 o'clock on Tuesday evening, May 6.
The committee will be composed of R. E. Gross '19, chairman, G. W. Allport '19, D. Leighton '19, W. W. McLeod '19, F. K. Bullard '20, F. W. Hall '20, E. A. McCouch '20, P. K. McElroy '20, A. W. Quimby '20, F. Workum '20, J. O. Crane '21, C. E. Dean '21, P. Hapgood '21, P. Hofer '21, S. A. Montague '21, J. R. Shepler '21, H. D. Smith '21, H. S. Villard '21, T. C. Wales '21, H. D. White '21, M. P. Baker '22, H. F. Colt '22, R. B. Smith '22, E. D. Weatherhead '22, H. M. Fleming Unc., and W. A. Shimer 1 Div.
Additional features for this year's conference have been announced by the Northfield authorities. There will be a special series of addresses on the "Construction of a Christian Democracy," by J. S. Wilson, the labor leader from California.
An innovation will be introduced in the formation of a number of sub-conferences. One is designed for medical students, which will bring such delegates to the conference together for at least an hour a day. W. H. Tinker, General Secretary of the University of Michigan, who has made a special study of the problems of professional school students, will be in charge of this group.
Engineering students will have the benefit of a special meeting that will be held for one hour each day of the Conference, under F. H. Rindge, Jr., of the Industrial Department of the Y. M. C. A.
An opportunity will also be given to Faculty members for special daily meetings. These will be under the leadership of a representative committee of professors, and the program will cover the fundamental problems connected with the development of a religious atmosphere in college life. The sub-conferences will interfere in no way with the attendance of the delegates at the general meetings of the conference
