W. M. Rand '09, captain of the 1909 University track team, the last University team to win the Intercollegiates will speak at a meeting of all track candidates which will be held in the Trophy Room of the Union this evening at 7 o'clock. Plans for the season will be discussed. Coach Donovan and acting-captain A. Stevens '19 will also be among the speakers,

Rand captained the University team in 1909 when it beat Yale by a score of 39 1-10 to 25 7-10 points in the Intercollegiates and took the title. By his consistent work in the hurdles, he was, in large part, responsible for the success of his team.

Practice is becoming stiffer in preparation for the Penn Relay on April 25 and 26, and time trials will begin as soon as the condition of the track permits. More candidates are needed, especially for the Freshman squad which has but a small number of candidates.
