Italians Cited Brown Ambulanciers

The entire personnel of the Brown University ambulance unit, which entered the Italian sector on Sept. 16, 1918, has been decorated with the croce al merito di guerra, the croix de guerre of Italy. There are 32 men in the unit, of whom 15 are from Brown. It originally contained only Brown men, but transfers and other causes resulted in the substitution of outsiders to fill the complement.
