Preliminary trial-matches for the University and Freshman tennis teams are being played daily on Jarvis Field while waiting for Divinity courts to be put in shape. They will be ready by the end of the week. Judging by the men reporting for the squad, the outlook for this season is excellent, Among the men on the University squad likely to hold a place on the team are: F. W. Hatch '19 G. W. Helm '20 L. A. de Turrenne '21 J. B. Fenno, Jr., '21, F. C. Hanighen '21, and W. T. Richards '21.
Although a large squad is reporting for the Freshman trials as yet little is known about the material in it, C. Wakefield and C. P. Holmes, both on the Exeter team last year are among the most promising candidates.
