Six men have won medals for winning in the finals of the University Novice Wrestling Tournament which were held yesterday. A bout in the seventh class the heavyweight, between L. B. Davis '20 and J. F. Brown '22 will decide the heavyweight champion if Brown, who is on the football team, can get Coach Fisher's permission to wrestle.
Representation in the other classes has been fair, as forty-five men came out for the tournament. Very close wrestling was shown in many bouts, about half having been decided by decision. Of all the bouts the most spectacular was in the semifinal round of the 145-pound class between G. V. S. Smith '22, and J. Israelite '20. A decision finally awarded the victory to Israelite, The complete winners are: H. B. Walker '22 in 115-pound class by decision; R. B. Varnum Unc. in the 125-pound class by a fall; B. B. Corson Occ. in 135-pound class by a fall; J. Israelite '20 in the 145-pound class by decision; T. L. Parsonnet '22 in 158-pound class by decision; T. L. Parsonnet '22 in 175-pound class by a fall.
