Professors in France May Unionize

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

College professors of France have agreed to hold a referendum to decide whether or not they shall transform their association into a national union to be affiliated with the Labor Federation. The school teachers already have decided to join the Labor Federation, although their right so to organize has not been recognized by the government.

The college professors also will vote on a proposition to unite in one organization, to be called the National Federation of Intellectuals, which will include all technical men, journalists, school teachers, professors, authors, doctors and lawyers. The proposed organization would comprise six different branches and professions.
