The annual fall rowing regatta opened yesterday afternoon with a race between Thayer 3 and Eliot 3 as the initial event, the former winning by a length and a half over the mile course. Today the regatta will begin in earnest with a schedule of four events.
The first of these races will be called at 4 o'clock between Thayer 1 and Eliot 1, to be followed at 4.20 by a race between Thayer A and Eliot A. The Freshman dormitory crews will take to the water at 5 o'clock. These dormitory races will be divided into two groups: the first between the three Freshman third crews, and the second between the three fourth crews and the fifth Smith crew.
