Owing to the rain yesterday no tennis matches were played, but it is expected that the singles and doubles tournaments will reach the semi-final rounds today, and by the end of the week the finals in both tournaments will be played. Contestants should note that matches scheduled for today differ in some instances from those of yesterday.
The following singles matches are scheduled to be played at Jarvis Field: At 2 o'clock, J. Kleberg vs. D. Davis; M. T. Tsao vs. A. K. Marsh.
At 3.30 o'clock, R. L. Lipman vs. winner of Kleberg and Davis; D. Egbert vs winner of Tsao and Marsh; T. B. Buffum vs. J. B. Fenno.
At 4, R. Shaw vs. E. K. Carver.
At 5 o'clock, C. P. Holmes vs. winner of Egbert and Tsao and Marsh; L. A. do Turenne vs. winnner of Shaw and Carver; D. P. Robinson vs. winner of Buffum and Fenno.
Doubles at Divinity Field: At 2 o'clock, Clark and Curtis vs. Carver and Smyth.
At 3.30 o'clock, Bradley and Campbell vs. Robinson and Robinson.
At 5 o'clock, Newman and Rittenberg vs. Guild and Hoskins; Erb and Brown vs. Houghton and Hofer; Rand and Rand vs. Weeks and Weld; Fogg and Suttrop vs. winner of Clark and Curtis against Carver and Smyth: Childe and Blow vs. Jackson and Morss: Weaver and Dickerson vs. Jacobson and Frowenteld: King and Johnson vs. Taao and Chen.
