The Endowment Committee has designated the Cambridge Trust Company as a depository for contributions from teachers and administrative officers of the University. The committee does not wish to urge members of the teaching staff to contribute; but their contributions will be welcome, and the Cambridge Trust Company will supply the necessary forms for subscriptions. Contributions may be made in full or by pledge of five annual or ten semiannual installments for five years.
Through a misunderstanding, the letter of the Endowment Committee addressed to members of the Faculty did not reach them all. The Endowment Committee had no intention of making any distinction among members of the Faculty in sending out this letter. Through misunderstanding, also, a few members of the Faculty have been visited by canvassers. The committee intended to have no personal solicitation of teachers and officers of the University, and regrets that any have been appealed to in this way.
