SMALL NUMBER OF RUNNERS ANSWERED TRACK CALL

Only Twenty-four University and Sixteen Freshmen Candidates at First Practice.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Both University and Freshman track candidates reported to Coach Donovan at the Locker Building yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock for the initial practice of the 1919 season. The number was unusually small, only twenty-four Upper-classmen and sixteen 1922 men being present.

After acting-manager L. B. Leonard, Unc., had recorded the names of those present, Coach Donovan briefly sketched the work the men will be expected to do. Each candidate will be given a half-hour workout daily between the hours of 2.30 and 4.30 P. M., and 11 and 1 Saturday mornings.
