In their first game of the season, the University seven defeated the Boston Hockey Club by a score of 3 to 2 on the Charlesbank rink Saturday afternoon.

At the outset the Hockey Club took the lead on two well-shot goals by Hutchinson, a former B. A. A. player. T. M. Avery '21 had succeeded, however, in penetrating the opponents' defense, and the score stood 2 to 1 against the University at the end of the first half. During the second period Avery scored two more goals, and the game ended with the University leading.

Good team-play and drive characterized the University attack and defense, Hutchinson was easily the best player for the Hockey Club. The teams played as follows: HARVARD  BOSTON HOCKEY CLUB.
