In connection with the nation-wide Red Cross drive next week, a campaign for subscriptions will be conducted at the University from May 20 to 25. This drive will not be for increased membership, as was the case last fall, but for donations toward keeping up the work of the society. Throughout the country a strong attempt will be made to raise $100,000,000 during the week, for this sum is greatly needed to allow the present organization of relief to continue unimpaired.
The campaign here will be conducted by teams which will canvass the College. No quota has been assigned for the University nor for any of the classes. Cash payments alone will be taken; no pledges will be considered. Liberty Bonds will be accepted in payment of subscriptions. The drive will be carried on under the auspices of Phillips Brooks House and will be directed by G. C. Barclay '19.
