Denied Winter Campus Housing, International Students Scramble to Find Alternative Options
Yesterday the Faculty announced the definite schedule of final examinations which will be given to students who are leaving College before the close of the academic year in order to enter the national service. These tests will begin Saturday, May 4, and will continue through Friday, May 10. None of the examinations will extend over a period of more than two hours.
Faculty Issued Statement.
With the schedule of tests, the Faculty yesterday issued the following statement:
"These special examinations are held for students, under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, who expect to attend the Fourth Officers' Training Schools or Military Camps opening before the end of the academic year. Also, for students who expect to be called to some other form of national service before the end of the current academic year, and have filed application at the College Office to take these examinations.
"Students taking these early final examinations will not be required to attend their college exercises during the period of these examinations, but any student who does not enter military or naval service immediately thereafter, or who is not a candidate for the June Camp, must continue his college work until such time as he is actually called."
