DECIDE JUBILEE QUESTION AT 1921'S FIRST MEETING

DR. DAVISON TO SPEAK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Whether or not the Freshmen will hold a jubilee this year as has been done in several past years is a question which will be settled at the first meeting of the class, to take place in the Smith Halls Common Room this evening at 7 o'clock. President Faxon will preside and short speeches by Dr. A. T. Davison '06 and J. K. Berry '18 will be on the program. The purpose of calling the class together is to give the 1921 Executive Committee some idea of what the sentiment of the members may be in regard to the policy of incurring the expense of the usual celebration.

In order that the class may understand what the jubilee consists of, an attempt will be made to explain it at the mass meeting. Dr. Davison, who has had charge of the jubilees since the building of the new dormitories, will tell of the musical side of the program, and Berry, who was on the jubilee committee four years ago, will discuss the celebration from his own point of view. Though no question about the annual class dinner at the Union will be brought up tonight, the decision as to the jubilee will necessarily affect the whole schedule of Freshman social events for the coming year.

Dormitory Singing Planned.

Dr. Davison is already laying plans for the organization of interdormitory choruses. If the class decides to hold the usual festivities, candidates from the different halls will be called at once to practice under leaders chosen from among their numbers. Occasional hours of practice for the whole Freshman Glee Club will be held under Dr. Davison in person, though he will also superintend all the choruses indirectly.
