Freshman Track Team Won From Worcester Academy.

The Freshman track squad began its season auspiciously by administering a sound defeat to Worcester Academy at the dual meet on the board track on Soldiers Field Saturday. In spite of holding three first places out of eight events, the Worcester team won only 23 points, as compared to the Freshmen's 49.

C. G. Krogness and D. F. O'Connell proved to be the best performers for the Freshmen, the former winning two firsts, a second and a third, and the latter two firsts and a second.

The complete list of events and the winners and time made by each is as follows:

40-yard dash.--Won by Sullivan; second, C. G. Krogness '21; third, E. O. Gourdin '21. Time, 5s.

45-yard low hurdles.--Won by C. G. Krogness '21; second, D. F. O'Connell '21; third, Anderson. Time, 6s.

600-yard dash.--Won by C. A. Page '21; second, Bowler; third, J. E. Nally '21. Time, 1m. 25 2-5s.

One-mile run.--Won by D. F. O'Connell '21; second, P. T. Cumner '21; third, F. L. A. Cady '21. No time taken.

300-yard dash.--Won by Sullivan; second, J. E. Baldwin '21; third, A. W. Douglass '21 and J. M. B. Churchill '21, tie. Time, 36 3-5s.

12-pound shot put.--Won by Lee, 41ft. 7 1-2in.; second, G. G. Monks '21, 40ft.; third, C. G. Krogness '21, 39ft. 11in.

High jump.--Won by C. G. Krogness '21, 5ft 8in.; second, Meade, 5ft. 7in.; third, W. Goodell '21, 5ft. 6in.

880-yard run.--Won by D. F. O'Connell '21; second, H. Perrin '21; third, Bowler. Time, 2m. 11 2-5s.
