At a tennis meeting in the H. A. A. last night it was announced that both University and Freshman teams would be supported by the Athletic Association this spring. Requests for matches have already been received from Yale, Princeton and Dartmouth, and if enough interest is shown contests will be scheduled with other universities. The Freshmen will also meet teams from those colleges and from neighboring schools as well. Regulations relating to eligibility will be the same as in major sports. In addition to the intercollegiate matches a series of intramural tournaments will be arranged.
Alexander Edgar Kirk '20, of Chicago, III., was appointed manager of the University tennis team, and Charles Albert Page '21, of Chestnut Hill, manager of the Freshman team, both subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee.
