HALLS TAKEN BY GOVERNMENT

University Dormitories Transferred to Local Radio School.

Winthrop Hall, a private dormitory for theological students, has been taken over by the United States Naval Radio School. In addition to this building, the Radio School intends in the near future to occupy Russell Hall, for the number now enrolled in the wireless work, approximately 2,500, requires the acquisition of new dormitory space. Craigie Hall, which was taken over recently by the School, is now filled to the extent of its accommodations.

Those students of the University who have been living in Russell Hall have already been obliged to arrange for new quarters in various halls. Among the buildings formerly used by the University and now under the supervision of the Radio School are Pierce Hall, Cruft Laboratory, Hemenway Gymnasium, Memorial Hall, Perkins Hall and Walter Hastings Hall. The Divinity School Library has also been made available for the sailors.
