PAVENSTEDT SUCCEEDS STONE AS EDITOR OF 1920 RED BOOK

Latter Summoned for Naval Reserve Duty.--First Articles Went to Press Yesterday.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The editor of the Freshman Red Book, R. G. Stone '20, has been called for service in the Naval Reserve, and as a result its publication is now being supervised by E. W. Pavenstedt '20, assisted by W. P. Belknap '20, D. C. Hawkins '20, and L. T. Lanman '20.

The first 18 articles went to press yesterday morning and all the press articles will be in by May 5. The stories that are already in include those on football, fall rowing, hockey and soccer. All the cuts and photographs will be sent to Buffalo about May 1 and will be engraved there.

The chief departure from the form of previous Red Books that will be made this year is the division of the book into several different sections. The groups in their order will be the major sports, the minor sports, class social activities, class scholarship, dormitory activities and military activities. These divisions will be separated from each other by full page cuts on some subject relative to the material dealt with in the section.

Business Competition Still Open.

The opportunity is still open to Freshmen to compete for positions on the business staff of the Red Book Board. Of the 15 men who are still competing for this staff, only about a half-dozen have obtained much advertising to date, but during the spring recess all candidates will have plenty of time to solicit contracts.

This is the only competition now open to members of the Class of 1920, and men who enter at this date will be in no way handicapped. Those interested are to see L. T. Lanman '20, Gore B34, any time before 10 o'clock tonight.
