GYMNASTS TO MEET DARTMOUTH

The University gymnastic team will go to Hanover, N. H., Saturday for a meet with Dartmouth, to be held in the Dartmouth gymnasium at 8 o'clock. The University team has had only one meet this year, in which it was beaten by Brown by two points. Since then it has improved greatly and under the guidance of Coach Coryell many weak points have been strengthened.

H. R. Bechtel '17, who was not entered in the Brown meet, will swing clubs against Dartmouth, and his presence will unquestionably make a marked difference in the result. The University is strongest in the bar events, the parallel and the high, the rings still remaining its vulnerable point. Captain D. Campbell '17 is the mainstay of the team, having obtained two first and two second places against Brown, scoring 16 of the total 26 points. He is also the most versatile of the gymnasts, being entered in five of the six events.

Dartmouth was defeated badly at the hands of the University in a triangular meet last year in which Technology was the other contestant, but since then her team has also been decidedly on the upgrade.

The University entries are as follows:

Horizontal bar.--D. Campbell '17 (capt.), J. M. French '17. Side horse: D. Campbell '17, H. B. Griffiths '19, H. W. Shepard '19. Club swinging: H. R. Bechtel '17, J. M. French '17, P. Allen '19. Parallel bars: D. Campbell '17, J. M. French '17, M. M. Zinninger '17. Flying rings: D. Campbell '17, H. W. Shepard '19. Tumbling: D. Campbell '17, M. B. Blanchard '18, F. R. Whitney '18.
