PRINCETON, N. J., FEB. 5, 1917.--Steps have been taken toward, the organization of a provisional battalion at Princeton. It is planned to drill the men in the open in close formation for one hour a day under Captain Stuart Heintzelman, U. S. A., of the Princeton faculty. There will be no obligation or compulsion about joining the battalion.
The battalion will continue until a declaration of war makes further steps necessary, or until peace is made. The students who have had experience at Plattsburg will assist in drilling the untrained men.
