The University gymnastic team will meet Brown in the Hemenway Gymnasium this evening at 8 o'clock, in its first meet of the season. W. Campbell '16, last year's captain, is the only member of last year's team lost by graduation and prospects for a successful season are bright. In Captain D. Campbell '17 the team has one of the best gymnasts in college circles, and an especially brilliant performer on the high bar and parallel bars.
Last year the Brown team defeated the University. Following is the program of events:
Horizontal bars.--Harvard: D. Campbell '17, J. M. French '17. Brown: Wight, Roberts.
Side horse.--Harvard: D. Campbell '17, H. B. Griffiths '19, R. Shepard '19. Brown: Clauss, Simons, Abel, Paige.
Parallel bars.--Harvard; D. Campbell '17, J. M. French '17, M. M. Zinninger '17. Brown: Roberts, Jencks, Zellers.
Club swinging.--Harvard: H. R. Bechtel '17, J. M. French '17, P. Allen '19. Brown: Prigge, Pierce, Finch.
Flying rings.--Harvard; D. Campbell '17, R. Shepard '19. Brown: Roberts, Wight, Luther.
Tumbling.--Harvard: D. Campbell '17, M. Blanchard '18, F. R. Whitney '18. Brown: Larkin, Pierce, Paige.
The judges will be Dr. C. L. Schrader, Dr. L. R. Burnett and Mr. Ernest Hermann.
