UNIVERSITY HARRIERS PLACED

O'Connell Fifth and Lewis Eighth in N. E. A. A. U. Six-Mile Race.

Two University cross-country teams secured second and fourth places in the annual N. E. A. A. U. race held Saturday over the Franklin Park six-mile course. The first team with 54 points was second to the Dorchester Club, which scored 39, while the second team came in fourth with 138, about 50 points behind the St. Alphonsus A. A.

The race was won by Henigan of the Dorchester Club. D. F. O'Connell '21, Freshman captain, was the first University runner to finish, gaining fifth place. After him came B. Lewis '20, informal captain, eighth in the race, and W. H. Goodwin '20, 11th. The first member of the second team to reach the tape was H. T. Sears '19, who captured 15th place. The other members of both teams finished behind in scattering positions.
