A lecture on "Shakespeare from a New Angle" will be given on Friday evening at 8 o'clock in Emerson D by Mr. William J. Lawrence, who has come to the University at the invitation of the Department of English. An English man by birth, Mr. Lawrence has spent most of his time in England. He has been in this country for over a year, during which time he has delivered many lectures on Shakespeare at the larger universities. As an English scholar, he has done much to contribute to the knowledge of the stage settings and theatres of the Elizabethan time, and is regarded everywhere as an authority on the literature and theatricals of that period.
