The fellowship will be awarded by the Institute's committee on Mediaeval and Renaissance Studies, on the basis of the papers and testimonials submitted by the applicants and the information afforded by their equipment and abilities for independent research. Applications should be in the hands of the secretary of the committee by Monday, January 15; the secretary will furnish application blanks and information on request.
