The 1917 baseball schedule as officially announced yesterday comprises 31 games, of which 12 are to be played away from Cambridge. Tufts, which was one of the University's strongest opponents last year, has been dropped from the schedule, and a third game with Princeton on June 13 in case of a tie has been added in place of it. The second Princeton game will be played at Princeton this year, and in case the provisional third game with Princeton is not played, an extra game has been arranged with Boston College. A game with Syracuse on May 16 has been substituted for the first game with Holy Cross, only one contest being played with the latter team this year. George town, which was played on May 2 last season, has been dropped from the schedule, a second game with Catholic University on May 1 being substituted in place of it.
On account of dropping the Tufts game, the contest with Amherst has been placed nearly a month later in the season. Otherwise no substantial changes have been made.
