Plans for a camp of military instruction for New York schoolboys, to be held under the auspices of the National Guard this summer, have been announced by Dr. C. W. Crampton, president of the Schoolmen's Military Corps. The camp will be held at Peekskill from August 9 to September 9, on the state grounds. It will accommodate 1000 boys between the ages of 16 and 19 years.
There will also be a schoolmen's battalion of 300 principals and teachers of New York schools who will be drilled in order that they may instruct the schoolboys next fall under the terms of the Slater bill requiring universal military training in the high schools.
