ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TO SERVE SPREAD IN YARD

Chief Marshal's Spread to be Reduced In Size and to be Held in University.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Alumni Association will hold a large spread on Class Day out of doors behind University Hall. The twenty-fifth class will be the chief hosts at this general luncheon to which the Alumni will be invited free of charge. One or two of the celebrating classes may have special tents of their own, near the general tent. The fiftieth class will as usual have its spread in Phillips Brooks House.

The reason for this innovation is that the Chief Marshal's luncheon has become inadequate to accommodate the increasing numbers year by year. It had been moved over to the Union, which was undesirable, since the Yard has always been more desirable as a centre of Class Day festivities. This Spread will be greatly reduced to include only the Corporation, the Overseers, the recipients of honorary degrees, and a few highly distinguished guests.
