Denied Winter Campus Housing, International Students Scramble to Find Alternative Options
The first four days of the Preparedness Week Campaign have shown encouraging results. Although the new enlistments for the Plattsburg Camps have not been surprisingly large, there has been a great increase both in the interest and enrolments for the Naval Cruise and the recently organized Aero Camp on Long Island.
A sufficient number of convincing reasons urging men to attend some kind of training camp have already been given by men prominent in public and university life. A summer spent at one of the military camps or on the naval cruise will not be wasted. the grand total of undergraduates enrolled so far for all the camps is 568. In the next two days 140 more men must sign up to place Harvard unquestionably in the lead. If 560 men have been willing to sacrifice a month or more of their time this summer, why cannot 140 more do it? Sign up during these last two days, and turn the clock hand nearer the 700 mark.
